RMD stands for Ron Davie. I've spent more than 14 years working hands-on with computers and IT, and I started RMD so small businesses can have a proper IT department without having to hire one.
The person who learns how your business runs is the same person who builds your system, sets up your technology and answers when you call.
No sales team, no hand-offs, no ticket queue. You deal with me directly.
You'll never need to learn tech jargon. I explain things in terms of your business.
RMD is an ongoing service, so it's my job to keep your technology working and improving.
The first conversation is about your business, not about technology.
Tell me how your business works today and what you'd like to fix or improve. No package to pick, and no technical knowledge needed.
How RMD IT Solutions collects, uses and protects personal information. Last updated October 7, 2026.
RMD IT Solutions is an IT services business owned and operated by Ron Davie, serving Winnipeg and surrounding Manitoba communities. Ron is responsible for how personal information is handled and can be reached through the contact page.
We only use your information for these purposes. If we ever want to use it for something else, we'll ask you first.
If you contact us, we'll use your details to respond to that inquiry. We won't send you promotional emails or texts unless you've agreed to receive them, and every promotional message will include a way to unsubscribe.
We don't sell or rent personal information. We only share it with service providers we need to run the business, such as email, payment processing and hosting providers, and only as much as they need to do their job. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax and billing records). Inquiries that don't lead to work are deleted once they're no longer needed. Client business data is handled as set out in the service agreement, including export when the service ends.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls, secure connections and keeping systems up to date. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking tools. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it, subject to legal and contractual limits. To make a request, use the contact page. If you're not satisfied with how we handle your concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
How the RMD service works, and the ground rules for using this website. Last updated October 7, 2026.
This section explains the RMD service relationship in plain language. The service agreement you sign governs the actual terms.
When you subscribe to an RMD business system, RMD is responsible for providing, maintaining and supporting that system according to the agreed scope of your service. In practice that means:
RMD is responsible for the technology and service it provides. Business outcomes remain dependent on the business itself, its people, its customers, third-party services and other factors outside RMD's control.
So RMD doesn't promise increased revenue or profits, a specific amount of time saved, a specific number of customers, business growth, the elimination of human error, zero downtime, zero hardware failures, zero internet outages, zero third-party service failures, or zero data loss under every conceivable circumstance.
The system is technology. Technology supports the business; it doesn't determine the outcome of the business.
Where a physical server or other hardware is required, you purchase it and you own it. RMD can specify it, source and supply it, and configure, install, maintain and manage it as part of the service.
Because the hardware is yours, so are its repair and replacement costs. RMD isn't responsible for paying for hardware that fails, wears out or is damaged. RMD's role is to set it up, look after it, and let you know when something needs replacing.
The devices your business uses are registered in your service agreement by model and serial number. Your subscription gives you access to fast, lower-cost repair labour and parts through RMD for registered devices. Labour and parts for hardware repairs and upgrades aren't included in the subscription and are billed when a repair is needed.
The RMD subscription covers the software, system and service layer, not ownership of your physical computer or server. If the RMD service ends, the hardware stays yours, and the RMD software and managed business system remain RMD's property.
You're subscribing to use the RMD system for your business while your subscription is active. You're not purchasing ownership of the software. RMD retains ownership of its software, source code, system architecture, automation, proprietary tools, templates, infrastructure configuration and intellectual property. You retain ownership of your own business data.
RMD IT Solutions is an independent technology service provider, and you remain an independent business. RMD doesn't become your employee, a partner or shareholder in your business, a manager of your staff, or an operator of your business. RMD provides technology, systems and technical support. You remain responsible for running your business and making business decisions.
Some parts of a system may rely on services RMD doesn't control — internet providers, email providers, payment processors, domain registrars, cloud services, operating systems, hardware manufacturers and other third-party software. RMD can configure and support these where they're part of your system, but can't promise the availability or performance of a service it doesn't control. If a third-party service fails, RMD's role is to help diagnose the problem and restore your system where reasonably possible.
You shouldn't have to become your own IT department. RMD manages the hardware and software your business uses, which means when you have a problem with any of it, you contact RMD. You run your business. RMD handles the technology.
This website describes RMD IT Solutions and its services in general terms. Nothing on it is an offer or a contract. What you get, what it costs and the terms of the service are set out in your written quote and the service agreement you sign, and those documents take priority over anything on this site.
Prices are in Canadian dollars and don't include applicable taxes. "Starting at" prices are the lowest monthly subscription available. Your actual price depends on what your business needs. There are no setup fees. If your system needs hardware, it's included in your quote before you sign. Labour and parts for hardware repairs and upgrades aren't included in the subscription. Subscribers get access to lower-cost labour and parts through RMD, billed when a repair is needed. Prices on this site may change, but the price in your signed agreement is the one that applies to you.
Examples, illustrations and sample screens on this site show the kinds of things RMD can build. They aren't promises of specific results, savings or features for your business.

We work to keep this site accurate and up to date, but it's provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, RMD IT Solutions isn't responsible for losses that come from relying on the general information on this website.
If this site links to other websites, we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content.
How we handle personal information is explained in the privacy policy.
